They hatched!
They hatched! Our cute little chicks hatched and the kids loved watching them take their first steps and play together in their incubator.
The countdown is on!
The countdown is on until our chicken eggs hatch! We are incubating our chicken eggs again this year, the kids are so excited but practicing great patience as they wait 21 days until the little chicks break out of their eggs. Stay tuned for an update and photos of the adorable baby chicks!
Our magnetic wall!
We are so lucky to have such great parents at our preschool, Weston’s dad Quincy has made the kids a magnetic wall to play with in our playground! They have so much fun exploring different ways to play with it!
Toadally awesome!
Last Spring we received some toad eggs from a friend in Squamish. We watched them develop from eggs into tadpoles and there was a lot of excitement as we watched them get bigger and bigger eating frozen lettuce. Music Mondays
The 4’s class is being joined by ECE-trained music teacher Ryan Sloan every other week for the next while. The class loves his mix of dancing, singing and playing rhythm instruments. A fishy experience!
A fall highlight of living on the North Shore is watching salmon conquer the mountains and make their way up stream. Spooky Science!
There was a great opportunity to engage the children last week with some dry ice science. They explored sublimation with soap, warm water and dry ice. The classroom was overflowing with spooky fog and the children were delighted.
