Inside

Situated in the original Lynn Valley Schoolhouse, LVPIP is fortunate to have this historical landmark as a permanent home. The two-story building boasts high ceilings and huge windows for lots of natural light and an open cheery feeling. The large upstairs area has been set up with different nooks and crannies, including play spaces at multiple levels, to give children opportunities to find quieter spaces and focus. LVPIP has an impressive collection of toys, learning materials and large muscle apparatus, so there is never any shortage of things to explore and play with!
Outside

Outdoor play is an important part of our curriculum and LVPIP is privileged to have a spacious outdoor space. In designing our playground, we have aimed to create a natural-feeling area with plenty of natural loose parts for open-ended creative play, opportunities for open-ended sensory play and lots of gross motor activities. This includes a few climbing and sliding structures, a tire swing, a track for riding bikes, a sand pit, mud kitchen, and even a custom designed water feature that’s perfect for floating boats or exploring piping contraptions that children build. Weather permitting, indoor activities may also be brought outside such as: painting, arts and crafts of various kinds, small cars, blocks and more. We’ve “weather-proofed” our outdoor area by hanging up plenty of tarps to protect key play spots from rain and prolong the time we can comfortably enjoy the outdoors.
