“Parenting is not a technique, it’s a relationship”
Parent Involvement preschools are different from other preschools because the parents are directly involved. Parents have the opportunity to be with their child in the classroom, to have a say in the administration of their child’s school and to attend meetings with free parenting education and school business discussions. Parent Involvement preschools are a great place for both children and parents to learn new skills, meet new friends and take the first steps together in a school setting.
How It Works
One of the best things about this type of school is the community it fosters. You will get to know other parents through all of the “involvement” in the school – by attending meetings, parent education seminars, community events, fundraising, and yes, even cleaning nights. You and your children will come away with strong friendships and a stronger sense of community.

Participate in the Classroom
Parents may choose to join the teachers in the classroom. It’s a wonderful opportunity to make memories with your child and learn from other parents and the teachers.

Attend Meetings & Parent Education
We host parent education sessions by early childhood experts and general and executive meetings to discuss preschool business. It gives you a chance to reflect on your parenting skills and build school community.

Help Run the Preschool
Each family is assigned a job to assist with the operation of the preschool. It’s a great opportunity to get to know your fellow parents and make a real impact in your child’s school.
The Benefits
You get back everything you put in through the strength of the relationships that you build at the preschool. You will learn so much through your time in the classroom and the parent education seminars. And it’s a pleasure to witness an amazing group of three- and four-year olds flourish, develop, laugh, cry and literally grow up in front of your eyes.
Here are just a few reasons you should consider a parent involvement preschool:
- You’ll make memories with your child that will last a lifetime
- Your child will make his/her first buddies — cared and supported not only by teachers but also by other parents
- You’ll learn valuable parenting skills from our parent education speakers and resources
- You and your child will make friends within a network of involved and committed families. This sense of community is fostered and strengthened through involvement within the school.
While there is little doubt there is a time commitment involved in belonging to a Parent Involvement Preschool, the rewards both within and beyond the classroom are immediate and long-lasting for children and their parents.
