Running out of ideas for things to do with your toddler? Check out these five fall activities that will keep the whole family engaged.
1. Play in the leaves
There’s nothing more cliché or more fun than playing in the leaves! If you don’t want to ruin all your hard work raking the leaves off your lawn, head to a local park and make your own piles to play in there. Make sure you pick a sunny day so those leaves are dry and crunchy!
2. Go on a short hike
The North Shore has endless trails and pathways to explore. Pick a family-friendly hike and let those little take in some fresh air and burn off some energy. Try these four toddler-friendly trails in North Van.
3. Bake fall treats
Don’t feel like heading outside? Have fun indoors and fill your home with the wonderful scents of fall by baking up a storm. For some easy recipes the kids can participate in, try these easy fall recipes.
4. Visit a Pumpkin Patch
’Tis the pumpkin season! There are a number of pumpkin patches across the lower mainland to check out. Don’t forget your camera for those instagram-worthy pumpkin patch photos!
5. Visit Maplewood Farm
Chickens and bunnies and pigs, oh my! Go for a walk around Maplewood farm and see many different farm animals up close, including donkeys, horses, goats, ducks and more. Bring a picnic and enjoy lunch under one of their covered picnic areas.
